We are able in provisioning live Television streaming to mobile phone over RTSP even in 2.5G mobile networks. However, there are certain challenges in it’s implementation. The key dependency for this service is on a RTSP client application (e.g. Real Player) that has to be pre-installed in handsets. The second dependency is on bandwidth coverage in certain areas by the telecom operators.
Currently we are developing a version that should be packaged with a media player, but unless the network is fully 3G enabled, the failure on full delivery of the contents will cease to exist.
