The Database Administrator will be part of the team responsible for the provisioning, deployment as well as day-to-day secure operations and maintenance of our different service offerings in the local premises as well as cloud. What Will You Do

  • Install, configure, and continuously optimize different database software.
  • Perform day-to-day management, patching, maintenance, and backup of all databases.
  • Provide 24/7 troubleshooting and support on a demand basis.
  • Ensure systems remain secure and are continuously running effectively and meet our SLA requirements.
  • Participate in upgrades, patch update and configuration modifications on the production systems.
  • Develop scripts and create reports for database health monitoring and usage metrics analysis.
  • Generate reporting query using SQL for on demand report.
  • Collect and prepare daily health status report for production databases.
  • Drive a total automation philosophy to efficiently and effectively achieve high level of reliability, availability, scalability, security, and performance.
KSAOs Required to Win This Job
  • Strong experience with MySQL and Oracle databases.
  • Strong SQL and data model optimization abilities.
  • Experience with pro-active monitoring and knowledge of database monitoring tools (i.e. Enterprise Monitor, Workbench, Grafana, PMM).
  • Experience using backup tools like MySQL Enterprise Backup, RMAN etc.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience administering in a Linux Environment (i.e. CentOS, RedHat Linux).
  • Excellent communication & documentation skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
Education & Experience Requirement
  • Bachelors/Masters’ degree in CSE.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Database Administration.
Additional Skill
  • Cloud Knowledge [AWS, GCP, OCI].
  • Docker/Kubernetes.
  • Unix System Administration.
  • Network Connectivity.
  • Moderate knowledge in MSSQL and Postgres.
  • Basic knowledge in MongoDB.
